‘FOR THE BOYS’: GROOMING FOR MEN

A Man’s face is his fortune, his business card and his story.

Slowly but surely Australian men are starting to take better care of there appearance. More and more guys are asking the question, “How do I take care of my skin?” Just a few easy products and a simple routine is all it takes.

It all starts with washing your face. KiND Everyday Face Wash is a sulphate free foaming gel designed to dissolve grime and pollutions and leave it soft and clean.

To exfoliate or not to exfoliate? Exfoliating is something we do to remove dead skin cells therefore making the skin look smoother, brighter and more youthful. Twice a week is a good rule of thumb. I like to use Ella Bache Revitalisant. It’s a dual action exfoliant that dissolves dead skin cells which you buff off once it dries.

A good all round moisturiser for men is Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer. It’s a light weight, nourishing moisturiser that’s easily absorbed and leaves no greasy or sticky residue. It comes in a neat squeeze top plastic bottle that is great for travel and should always be in your gym bag. If it’s a day cream you’re after, you might want to choose the SPF15 option.

Like a buff and polish on your car you want to do the same on your body. Using a loofah to wash your body in the shower is going to keep the skin on your body smooth and soft. I’m a huge fan of using coconut oil on my body while I’m still a little damp from the shower. It’s extremely healing and leaves your skin super soft and hydrated. For those who are not so into the smell of coconut, Nivea Express Hydration Body Moisturiser is my go-to body moisturiser.
