HOW TO MASTER THE BROW!

Brow_How-To_Maxmade.com.au
One of the biggest industry secrets you will ever learn is the importance of….. BROWS! They are what we call the framework of the face. They are what shape and define the eyes and are the finishing touch to any makeup look! Learn how to master the most important feature of your face with my easy to follow step-by-step ‘How-To’!

Step 1; Brush brows UP with a brow-brush to define your natural brow shape.

Step 2; Choose an eyebrow pencil that is at least one shade lighter than your natural brow colour. One of my favourite go-to brow pencils is Tom Ford’s Brow Sculptor. The flat-angled tip provides great and easy control when filling and shaping the brow. The key is to choose a colour that is just dark enough to fill in the gaps but is not so dark it makes your brows look un-natural against your complexion and hair colour. In this case I wanted to achieve a chic, masculine meets feminine brow, so I chose a colour that was more in tune with the darker colour in the model’s hair.Note; Watch the above ‘How-To’ before starting Step 3!

Step 3; There are 3 points when mapping out the perfect brow: The beginning; the arch; and the end! To determine where the brow begins – hold the end of the pencil at the outer edge of the nose, lining it up with the inner corner of the eye. Where the tip of the pencil meets the brow- this is the beginning! To determine the perfect point of where your brow should arch, line the end of the pencil up again with the outer corner of the nose and this time, with the outer edge of the pupil of your eye. Where the point of the pencil meets the brow – make a mark! REPEAT ON THE OTHER SIDE!

Step 3; Now comes the art of filling in your brow. Start at the point you defined as the beginning of your brow and pretend you’re drawing in tiny little hairs – till you meet the arch point. From there, lie the pencil on it’s side and softly stroke the pencil from the arch-point towards the finishing-point of the brow. Note; This is where the flat-angled tip of the Tom Ford Brow Sculptor is really going to shine – enabling you with more control to draw a straighter line with the flat-square end!

Finishing touches; I used Anastasia Clear Brow Gel to brush the hairs of my brows up and to set in place for an all-day-wear!
