You asked, I answered: how to create this sexy ‘done-undone’ textured hair in 3 easy steps!

‘Done-undone’ hair mastered can make any woman feel like a mix between a 90’s Supermodel, The Girl Next Door and an Urban Bohemian. Both polished and easy, it’s just at home holding court in an accounting meeting as sailing on a yacht. Add a classic red lip and golden skin – and you have a modern that feels on-point all year round.

Follow my fool-proof step-by-step guide to creating sexy lived-in texture that is guaranteed to turn heads (and have everyone  begging for your hairdresser).

Step 1: Building natural texture in your hair that you can move a flick freely is precisely what makes this style so sexy and spontaneous. Start by scrunching Kevin Murphy’s Hair. Resort Beach Texturiser through damp hair to add volume and encourage a beach-like wave. Tip: When scrunching, flip your head upside down and push the hair up in sections firmly against your head and hold. The more texture and curls you create the better!

Step 2: Dry the hair while still maintaining those chunky waves you created with the Beach Texturizer. The way you do this is by using a diffuser attachment on your hairdryer, set to low-medium strength. If your hair is fine or goes flat, holding your head upside down will help with volume, while setting the diffuser to low-medium will stop the hair from breaking up.

Step 3: Once the hair is completely dry, you can loosen your waves and add a moveable texture with a little Smoothing Paste. My go-to is  Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion!  I love that this particular product is not greasy or heavy, thus never weighing the hair down or pulling out any texture you have created. Tip: only ever apply a pea sized amount of product, heated between your hands by rubbing them together. Apply in a scrunching motion, then flip your head over and rake the product through the top. This a fail-safe way to NEVER over apply product. Repeat if needed!

To finish… simply flick and go! Tip: to keep that beautiful airy texture and volume,  freshen up your style throughout the day by spraying Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray at the roots around the hair line. It’s my secret to instant root lift and texture!
