Giorgio Armani, master of skin, strikes again with the recent release of Maestro Glow Foundation.
Armani is best known for it’s iconic range of foundations, particularly my favourite the Luminous Silk Foundation. The new Maestro Glow sits in-between their Maestro Foundation – a medium to full coverage with a satin finish- and their Luminous Silk foundation -a versatile coverage that floats over the skin to a matt-like-finish, brightening skin for a more luminous look. Maestro Glow is so light-weight it enables you the flexibility to choose when and where you would like to build coverage or blend for a more sheer-like finish making it a versatile coverage foundation!
What separates this foundation from the others, as its name suggests, is its “GLOW” factor! Swapping out water and powders for a mix of skincare oils and pure pigment allows Maestro Glow to look less ‘makeup-y’ on your skin. Don’t let the oils scare you as the revolutionary formula doesn’t look or feel greasy on the skin. Instead the lightweight oils penetrate where needed and then evaporate for a more even, RADIANT finish.
Now, I recommend using the dropper to add foundation to the back of your hand before working it into the skin using the warmth of your fingertips to blend. If this is too messy or you want to build coverage, use a damp foundation sponge and layer the foundation.
On a scale of 1 to 10 the glow factor is a 10/1o and works beautifully under a powder or Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation Compact which helps with longevity, controlling shine or improving coverage under the eyes for instance.
Whether you’re coming into Summer and want to enhance your glow factor or Winter is looming and you want to keep your skin looking fresh and youthful, Maestro Glow has got you covered.
I’m giving the Maestro Glow Foundation a 9/10

Prep and Prime
The key to preparing the skin is to Prime the skin first. Giorgio Armani’s UV Master Primer in Beige is perfect for adding luminosity evening out skin tone and pores adding longevity to your foundation
Luminosity & Colour Correcting
I love working with really fair skin tones and using products like the Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in the more pinkish tones to brighten and make the over-all skin tone look more youthful. Often in this situation gold’s or bronze can make skin look dirty where as pink and apricot tones contract the blue undertones therefor brightening and adding a youthful vibrancy to skin!
One of the biggest misconceptions with achieving a dewy finish is the use of powder. Setting a dewy or radiant finish foundation is essential when controlling un-wanted shine and building longevity. Armani has combined two products in one with their Luminous Silk Compact. Like the foundation it has a radiant finish ensuring you maintain that luminous finish while setting and holding the foundation in place for an all-day-wear!
