Liquids, pencils, gels and more recently: the felt-like tipped texters – the eyeliner business is HUGE and abundant with options, but which ones are the best and right for you? Walk the line with the #MAXMADEEYELINER edit here after the jump!
The newest of it’s kind, Maybelline Graphic Liner leads the market in a new wave of liners that pretty much mimics the technology and success behind the famous Artline Texter. The angled felt tip gives you what I would describe as one of the most desirable advantage points, to creating a precise line. What sets this liner apart is that you can change the angle of the tip of the Master Liner when you want to thicken the liner up or simple hold it vertical for the finest of lines. Because the felt tip has such defined edges and the black ink is fine in application – but also rich in pigment- the product penetrates the skin drying sharp instantly! I give this product a 8/10 consistently, wear and usabilty! For the ultimate liquid liner how-to click here!
Designed by the queen of the cat-eye herself, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury has released a pencil that encapsulates the Kate Moss rock-chic eye in a single flick of the wrist. Apply along the lash line or through the inner-rim of the eye, this decedent creamy pencil is the ultimate in eyeliner sexiness. Tip; CT’s Bedroom Black Eyeliner is also the perfect base to my “2 step, 2 second smokey eye”! Simply rim and line the eye before blending the line in with your favourite shadow & brush! I give this product a 9/10 consistently, wear and usabilty! For the ultimate cat eye how-to click here!
A first of it’s kind, Benefit’s They’re Real Push-up Liner (like the They’re Real Mascara) is a force to be reckoned with in the eye liner line-up! A dense, rich, mattee-like gel that is guided on by a perfectly angled tip that makes even the shakiest of hands look like a pro. There is something about that angled rubbery tip that sticks to the lash line and enables you to tweak your flick on the end of your liner with little to no effort. You know a product is good when your clients or models continue to pick it up time-after-time! I give this products a 9/10 consistently, wear and usability! Like a ‘Tattoo’ Kat Von D’s liner is one of the longest lasting liquid lining pens I have used. What interests me is the way it goes on. It’s quite sheer, or even a little watery, but as soon as it goes down it thickens and dries within seconds. Whether I’m doing a graphic liner or wanting to push liquid into the lash – to thicken the base of my lashes – the long fine brush tip does all the work! I give this product a 8/10 consistently, wear and usability. For the ultimate liquid liner how-to click here!
The first gel liner I ever tried and still to this day, the only gel liner I use. What can be a little bit of fiddle product having to use a brush, the outcome always outweighs the process . It’s all in the consistency as far as Im concerned. A rich-like, velvety-consistency that glides on seemlessly from one side of the eye to the other. What I love, other than the dense, flat-like colour & its quick dry, long wearing formular is that I can layer or thicken my liner at any given moment in the day without it flaking or cracking! I give this product a 8.5/10 consistently, wear and usability! For the ultimate cat eye liner how-to click here!
