Take on the latest eye makeup trends like a pro with my ‘TOP 5’ must-have eye brushes. Remember, an artist is only as good as their tools…
1. Charlotte Tilbury’s Blender Brush
Do you want to attract light into the eyelid area, making your eyes and the surrounding area look bigger and brighter? Then, you need to use Charlotte Tilbury’s Blender Brush to blend a wash of metallic colour over the lids and brow bone. The ‘Blender’ is also my go-to brush when wanting to contour the eye area. Tip: Using your favourite bronzer, shade the eyelid with the ‘Blender Brush’ from the lash line high-up into the contour of the eye. The result is an eye that looks larger, without the look of wearing makeup!
2. NARS Smudge Brush
Whether you want to simply highlight the inner corners of your eyes for a fresh wide-eyed look, or smudge a shadow or eyeliner into the lash line for something stronger and sexier – this is the perfect brush is for you. NARS Smudge Brush is constantly on high rotation in my kit!
3. MAC Fluff Brush
MAC Fluff Brush is seriously one of the easiest brushes to use when wanting to add colour to your lids with ease. The thickly packed bristles are perfect for picking up and holding pigment, while the rounded fluffy edge will be your best friend when blending.
4. Estee Lauder’s Eyeliner & Brow Brush
Properly filled brows can shave years off your complexion, giving you a mini-facelift. They frame the eye and are the finishing touches to any makeup look. Use a little shadow one shade lighter than your natural brow colour and fill any gaps with Etsée Lauder’s Eyeliner & Brow Brush. Doubling as an eyelining brush, this little bad boy gives the perfect angle when wanting to master a precision eyeliner with ease.
5. Charlotte Tilbury’s Eye Smudger Brush
Want to go for a more smoky looking eye? Then Charlotte Tilbury’s Eye Smudger Brush should be your weapon of choice! Blend colour through the socket line of the eye and around the lash line for the sexiest of smokey eyes. Tip: Find it hard to define the right shape for your smoky eye? Simply look at yourself in the mirror while you blend the brush back and forth through the contour of your eye. Finish with a little of the same colour along the bottom lash line for a fool-proof smoky eye.

I’ve found with my CT Blending Brush, that while it’s soft and feels lovely on my eyes, that it doesn’t really blend out the shadow enough. I normally end up reaching for another blending brush to remove any lines.
